INTRO TO CANINE DISC PLAY

Have you ever seen dogs catching frisbees in the park, at the beach, or on TV? Have you always wanted to do that with your dog? Here’s your chance! In this intro class, you will learn the basic skills of disc play with your dog, including: how to hold and throw a disc at least 10 yards; how to get a smooth hand-off from your dog; how to set your dog up for the next throw. You will learn about playing safely with your dog, what surfaces are safe to play on, and what discs are safe to play with. This class will cover all of the skills needed to participate in the Throw & Catch Division at the next local disc dog competition!

Class size: minimum 4 human/dog pairs, max 8 human/dog pairs

Cost: $150 for 5 weeks/ 5 sessions (includes 1 competition standard disc)

Pre-requisite: Must be able to crate dog for part of class, dog must be ok off leash with other dogs

Bring: crate, leash, water for dog, water for human and a desire to learn and have fun!

INTRO TO FREESTYLE LEVEL 1

This class will introduce the basic skills involved in putting together a freestyle routine, including a variety of throws, putting tricks together in sequence, the best disc placement for your individual dog, choosing freestyle music, and what to expect in competition.

Class size: minimum 2 human/dog pairs, max 6

Cost: $200 for 5 weeks/ sessions (includes 5 competition standard discs)

Pre-requisite: Intro to Disc Play class or approval of instructor

Bring: crate, leash, water for dog, water for human and a desire to learn and have fun!
